Red marker indicates gaze position of a subject during one trial. At salient peripheral locations, local spectral energy is reduced to also reduce likelihood of fixation (e.g. see yellow traffic sign bottom right).
When presented gaze-contingently, this manipulation is not noticeable by the subject.
